I told my self, don’t buy anything. There’s nothing but junk I said to my self so just don’t even look! How ever of course since i do like 90% of my shopping on Amazon it was inevitable I’d find my self pursuing Amazon any ways. It’s fishing season after all and I’m in the market for a Light rig and of course gawking over expensive Salmon gear for next month. Luckily I didn’t end up at the bottom of a $400 salmon rig Primeday hole.
I did how ever scoop up a new light rig and a cheap Medium to replace one i just lost an eyelet on.

I scored a Pflueger President Spinning Combo fishing Reel Rod:

I got the last one in stock by Amazon which was listed for $71 with an additional %20 off! not a bad deal for a new light rig.

The Rod is a 6'6" light rod with fast action. I don’t know much about the Rod but it just seems like a standard graphite blank with Pflueger branding. Should be a good reliable Light rig. Grabbed some 8lb powerpro spectra to spool it up with, I’ll probably throw on a 10lb fluorocarbon for a leader.

Went with a 7' medium to replace the ol’ walleye slayer with the missing eyelet. I normally prefer my over 6'6" rods to be one piece but decided to go with a 2 piece for convince on this one. Got an extra 20% bringing this down to $21 bucks. I wanted a Berkley Lightning rod but i only had $22 left after buying the combo to spend and the lightning is $45 bucks.
I’m stoked for all this new gear. I have a b ig fishing day this Saturday and I no longer will be lamenting the lack of a better medium and lack of a light rig! Can’t wait for fish on!

The Nintendo Switch deal was only sort of good, because you got a memory card pack in that is normally $40, and then $20 on the Nintendo shop.
I still got one because I’m sad that I haven’t played any Zelda or Mario games since the Wii.
(I’m also wanting Super Mario Maker...for various reasons)

I’m tempted to start my new build with the Ryzen 2700 and 960 Evo 1TB on sale.
Thing is RAM is still through the roof, and the board I want isn’t out yet...

Still $60 buck worth of free shit aint bad! but yeah mostly disappointing prime day as always. I just happen to have been eyeing that rod/reel combo for a while and when i saw an extra 20% off, they fucking had me...

On CA, yes.
GPU is actually more this sale. They had a GTX 1080 a week or two back for C$609, same one is C$669 now.

I do have an adapter on order for my Mac Pro that I ordered on Prime Day as well.
Although that was a re-order because originally the seller had “Fulfilled by Amazon” and then Amazon lost the package when giving it to UPS for overnight delivery.
Now it’s supposed to be shipped from China.

I did participate...took the plunge on a new laptop backpack that was half price, plus a further $15 off from Prime for whatever reason. Normally $140, was down to $55.

Yeah... I’m tempted. I have a build sheet that started with a 1600 from a year ago , became 2600, and now that it’s another $10 from my quoted price to upgrade to the 2700, lol.
I couldn’t get rid of my 3570K though, it’s still running perfectly fine.

I post fish stuff from time to time, haven’t been hitting it too hard this year tho.
Last years only salmon I was able to land. Little guy :( I can’t wait till they start running next month!!
